I am special cause God custom made me to be!

I am currently reading The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For? By Rick Warren. There is a poem in here by Russell Kelfer that really got me to thinking. Here it is:

You are who you are for a reason.
You're a part of an intricate plan.
You're a precious and perfect unique design,
Called God's special woman or man.

You look like you for a reason.
Our God made no mistake.
He knit you together within the womb,
You're just what he wanted to make.

The parents you had were the ones he chose,
And no matter how you feel,
They were custom-designed with God's plan in mind,
And they bear the Master's seal.

No, that trauma you faced was not easy.
And God wept that it hurts you so;
But it was allowed to shape your heart
So that into his likeness you'd grow.

You are who you are for a reason,
You've been formed by the Master's rod.
You are who you are, beloved,
Because their is a God!

This has brought me to tears. Just knowing that God took the time to choose the way I look, the way I was going to talk, my personality, what i was going to in life, etc. Oh what a Mighty God we serve! For Him to love me sooooo much to make only one unique me. He knew who I was and was going to be before He made me. Before He conceived me in my mother's womb. There is no reason for me to question what should I do with my life or where should I go? God has already prepared my life for me. That's why I am a strong believer in consulting God first in everything. Why would I ask anyone else but the One who knows all? I just needed to share this because the God we serve is Super Aweome!!

Who am I???

Am I one of those girls who never does anything with her life?
Am I one of those girls who sits around and have babies with different dads?
Am I one of those girls who takes care of a man who hustles and could care less about me?
Am I one of those girls who doesn't learn from her stupid mistakes?

NO, I AM NOT!

I am a woman who is going to be a successful hairstylist and early childhood educator. With God on my side, I will be able to help children with disabilities so they can grow into strong independent adults.

I am a woman who is way too intelligent to allow some man plant his seed in me just because he says he loves me. I have a mother that raised me in church and taught me to be independent and not fall for a man because of what he has or depend on a man for what I need.

I am a woman who takes care of herself and is not impressed by money, cars, clothes, etc. I have taken care of the drug dealer and the bum and will not anymore. I have been heartbroken and treated like dirt by them too. God has open my eyes to what He has for me and I don't need a hustler to get love or the things that I need.

I am the woman that has learn from her mistakes. God has shown me the things I thought I wanted and took them away because he has something better than I could ever imagine. In the end it has made me a better woman in Christ and in my life. I love, live, laugh, listen, understand, respond, feel, think, pray, and read better than I have before.

I am becoming the WOMAN God wants me to be. Slowly but surely. I thank God for who I was and who I am today. Thank God for loving me and knowing whats best for me......
